Biography
On April 20, 1899, Taylor Collins, 23, was shot several times before being nearly lynched in Woodstock, Alabama by a white mob after being accused of shooting his landlord. He was accused of murder and sentenced to twelve years in prison. He died, while incarcerated, one month later from dysentery. He life behind his wife Mattie Collins.
