BIRMINGHAM, ALA. A Negro Rapist Hanged by a Mob at Tuscaloosa [Special to the Appeal.] BIRMINGHAM, July 18.-A special to the Age, from Tuscaloosa, says that the negro Henry Burke, who attempted to rape a little white girl of a good family a few days ago, was captured last night in the garret of an old house near Tuscaloosa and identified and jailed. About mid- night a mob took him from the jail and hanged him to a tree in the street and put five bullet holes in his body.
