He Killed McKay With Slugs. BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Aug. 13 - At Brookwood Mines, Deputy Nelson went to serve a warrant for assault to murder on Will McKay, a young miner, last night. McKay reached for his pistol and Wilson fired, killing McMay with slugs. McKay died this morning. It seems that McKay's mother, who was a widow, had been keeping company with a man who was objectionable to McKay.
