Pardons Granted The following pardons have been granted by the governor: Frank Reid, Mobile; larceny. Judge's opinion that offense was petit larceny. Josephus Jowers, Elmore; murder. Probably no intention to kill; led a mob; exemplary conduct. Will Isaac, Jefferson: murder in second degree. Incurably ill; served over half sentence; recommended by the judge. John Ghorum, Butler: burglary. Time expires in two months; large petition. Robert State Wieks, Marengo; rape. Life sentence; is 75 years old; served sixteen years; colored girl 10 years old; convicted on her testimony.
