. NEGRO TWAIN LYNCHED IN ALABAMA. MONTGOMERY, Jan. 4.-Ed and Will Smith, negroes, accused of com- plicity in the murder of R. A. Stillwell, a white farmer, were taken from the Wetumpka jail early today and lynched. A company of state militia was ordered to the scene but it arrived too late.
