Grand Jurors To Take Look At Jail Death The death of a Negro prisoner whose body was found in the Elmore County jail last Nov. 20 is expected to be investigated by the county grand jury which meets Tuesday. James Earl Motley, 27, of Montgomery, was found dead in the jail a few hours after a sheriff's deputy had arrested him. State investigators have taken part in the inquiry, and FBI agents have conducted their own investigation of Motley's death.
