A LYNCHER SENTENCED. Member of an Alabama Mob Gets Life Imprisonment. Wetumpka, Ala., Aug. 28.-George Howard was today convicted of murder in the first degree and sentenced to life imprisonment. Howard was a member of the mob that lynched Robert White a negro, in this county, some months ago. He is one of the most prominent farmers in this section of the county. White, who was accused of shooting at a white man, was taken from the officers who had him in custody and hanged.
