MEMBER OF MOB IMPRISONED., Convicted of Murder For Lynching, Negro In Alabama., Wetumpka, Ala., Aug. 28.-George How-, ard was today convicted of murder in the, first degree and sentenced to life impris-, onment., Howard was a member of the mob that, lynched Robert White, a negro, in this, county, some months ago. He is one of, the most prominent farmers in this sec-, tion of the county,, White, who was accused of shorting as, a white man. was taken from the officers, who had him in custody and hanged.
