Negro Lynched At Braehead. Grant Richardson, a negro living at Braehead in this county is reported to have been lynched by a mob of white men on Tuesday night. The negro was charged with miscegenation, and was in charge of Deputy Cal Riley, who was bringing him to jail when a mob is said to have overpowered him and took the prisoner. Up to this writing the body has not been found, and little or no information can be learned of the affair. Only a few weeks ago a negro was arrested and tried for attempting rape on a white woman of that section and was acquited and the people of that section was somewhat rought up over the matter. Deputy Oakley left for the scene of the lynching, and up to the time of the writing has not returned. Later The body of the negro was found shot to pieces.
