Alex Hill was employed by Mr. Hubbard and then discharged over a dispute of an account. Mrs. Hubbard noticed Alex skulking around the premises. She asked him what he wanted and he replied with insolence and then obscene. Mrs. Hubbard said “go away now.” Mr. Hubbard has a large family connection in Bibb county and was a prosperous farmer. Will Hill was captured and his head was shot into a shapeless mass. He confessed to all the crimes. He denied to pray before being hung. He was taken down before his death and fired a volley into his head.
