Mrs. R. H. Hubbard was sjot and killed by two black men at the station on the Memphis and Charleston railroad in Bibb County on June 5. R. H. Hubbard is a prosperous farmer that employed Will and Alex Hill. They were discharged for indolence and some dispute over the amount due to them. "One report" says Hubbard came to his door and was immediately, one bullet hit his wife. Another said Mrs. Hubbard went to the door and was shot immediately and then Mr. Hubbard came to the door and was seriously wounded. Will Hill was captured by a mob around midnight in Blocton. They claimed to have left to take him to jail, but he never reached the jail so it was assumed he was lynched. Anotehr posse is after Alex Hill.
