The crime made the community to wreak vengeance of the Sam Hose Kind. It was committed twelve miles from Blocton, Monday morning. Men are looking for Bud Hargrove and Alex Hubbard for the murder of Mrs. Hubbard. The motive of the crime was revenge. They were discharged by Mr. Hubbard for a good cause and went around the neighborhood making ugly remarks. They went to his house and started a fight about their pay. Mrs. Hubbard screamed for help once. Their two-year-old daughter ran to notify the neighbors. The daughters told the crowd the name of the men responsible. Alex shot Mr. Hubbard in the back with a double barrel shot gun loaded with turkey shot. Will Hill fired the pistol that hit the little girls’ hand and Mr. Hubbard. A posse had captured Will Hill.
