- Alex Hill, the person that murdered on Mrs. Rufus Hubbard of Centreville. Will Hill, his brother and accomplice, was lynched at the Hubbards home. Alex was captured near Dover, Walker County. He allegedly confessed to the crime. The people who captured him took him to Jasper jail.
