Mrs. Hamp Williams and children of Denning, Ark., arrived here on Tuesday of last week to visit friends. They were former residents of this place, and left here last fall a year ago for Arkansas. They are receiving a hearty welcome. Mrs. Thomas McCumber of West Blocton was called here on Tuesday of last week by the serious illness of her sister, Mrs. G. D. Mitchell. She returned home Wednesday. Mrs. G. D. Mitchell, whose illness was reported in last week's issue, is, we are glad to say, improving, and she is able to sit up a little. Mrs. W. T.
