- Negro Is Killed by Mob. Montgomery, Ala., Oct. 13.—Grant Richardson, colored, was lynched near Centrevllle by a mob of white residents of the county. He was being brought to jail on a charge of attacking a white woman, when the deputy in charge was overpowered and the prisoner's body riddled with bullets.
