DIDN'T WANT HIM
Sheriff Davis captured a negro murderer by the name of John McCoy near Bellamy last week. The negro had shot and killed Mr. C. O. Springer at Halsell, Choctaw county. Sheriff Davis carried his prisoner to Eutaw but the Sheriff there did not want him there, so he carried him to Tuscaloosa and meet with the same reception from the Tuscaloosa Sheriff. The prisoner was finally landed in the jail of Jefferson county.
