Biography
On March 25, 1928, Dave Brown, about 28 years old, was lynched outside of Elrod, Tuscaloosa, Alabama, by two white men who accused another man of threatening their father. Dave Brown was shot and killed alongside Jerry Brown. He spent time living in Bessemer and worked as a laborer in the lumber industry. He lodged with Ernest and Jane Washington in Tuscaloosa before his murder.
