On August 13, 1933, Jim Pruitt, age unknown, was lynched in Tuscaloosa, AL on Jug Factory Road by deputies because he threatened his employer of stealing chickens. The officers reported that Pruitt tried to resist arrest and attempted to club them. Before Pruitt was lynched, he was farm laborer on a local chicken farm.
