NEGRO SOLDIER IS KILLED AT HOLT THIS AFTERNOON At 2 o'clock this afternoon at Holt a young man by the name of Ryan, shot and killed a colored soldier by the name of Harry Crumby, son of Andrew Crumby. It is reported that the negro had gone to the Ryan home and commenced to try to place himself on familiar relations with the family. He was ordered away and on refusing to go a fuss ensued, in which young Ryan shot and killed the negro.
