- A Seducer Killed. BIRMINGHAM, Ala, July 10.-A special to the News from Tuscaloosa says that Trigg's store was the place of the killing of a negro, Wash Bell, by a posse of white men. Wash Bell had been arrested for wife beating and was asleep in the room above the store with Officer Cunningham about midnight. Before the day of his trial a posse broke into the store and shot Bell to death and fled before they could be recognized. It develops that Bell seduced a white girl near the scene of his death.
