- Black Who Killed Alabama Farmer, Shot to Death Fleeing From, Burning Cabin., [BY ASSOCIATED PRESS.], WETUMPKA, Ala., Nov. 10.-Citizens, are scouring the woods in the vicinity of, Floyd tonight for a negro who shot and, fatally wounded John Chrisitzberg, an, Elmore county farmer., In the afternoon, the same posse killed, a negro named Berney companion of the, negro, when Chrisitzberg was shot and, who himself shot and killed Claude Kidd,, one of the posse. A cabin in which, Berney was hiding was burned to make, the negro come out into the open., The negroes, by careless driving, caused, the horse of Chrisitzberg's daughters to, run away and the shooting of Chrisitz-, berg followed.
