- Five Lynched in Alabama,, Montgomery, Ala., June 17.-The county jail, at Wetumpka was broken into last night and, a mob of 500 farmers seized Louis Speer, Jeff, Thompson, Sol Will and Reese Jackson and, another negro and started out into the country with them. Little doubt Is felt that the, men have been lynched. The prisoners were, suspected of murdering William Carden, his, wife and brother, stealing $3,000 belonging to, the former, and burning his house.
