THE STATE OF ALABAMA, ELMORE COUNTY, To any Ordained or Licensed Minister of the Gospel, Judge of the Circuit or Probate Courts, or Justice of the Peace for said County- GREETING: You are hereby authorized to celebrate the Rites of Matrimony between Will James c., and Lizzie Ross c., and this shall be your sufficient authority for so doing. GIVEN under my hand and seal, this 19 day of June A.D . 1915 M.D. Still. (L. S.) Judge of Probate. The above named parties were married by me at Court (1 illegible word here) on the 19th day of June A.D. 1915. M.D. Still. FIFTY DOLLARS FINE FOR FAILING TO RETURN THIS LICENSE. THE STATE OF ALABAMA, ELMORE COUNTY, KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: THAT WE ________ are held and firmly bound unto the State of Alabama, in the sum of Two Hundred Dollars, to the which payment, well and truly to be made, we bind ourselves, our heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, jointly and severally, firmly by these presents. Before me, M.D. Still, Judge of Probate in and for said State and County, personally came ______ Will James, who, on oath administered by me , deposes and says that he desires to procure a Marriage License for himself who is over 21 years of age, and has no wife, and Ms. Lizzie Ross, who is over 18 years of age, and resides in Elmore County, Alabama and has no husband.
