- Ed. and Will Smith, negroes, arrested accused of implication in the assassination of R. A. Stillwell, an Elmore county farmer last Thursday were lynched early Monday morning. The negroes were taken from the Wetumpka jail. Three white men suspected of being members of the lynching party were arrested and placed in jail. Governor O'Neal has called a special session of grand jury to investigate the lynching. Ed. and Will Smith, negroes, arrested accused of implication in the assassination of R. A.
