INVESTIGATING A LYNCHING Montgomery, Ala., Aug. 26.-A special to the Advertiser from Wetumpka, Ala., says: A special Grand Jury is in session here to investigate the lynching of Robert White, a negro, a month or two ago. This morning Clop Clantor, Bigant Nails, and S. F. Pittmann, the Bailiffs, who had taken White in charge when he was taken by the mob, were remanded to jail for refusing to testify before the Grand Jury.
