- ABOUT IN ALABAMA THE LYNCHING IN MADISON. A Coroners Jury C'onlil Not Place the Collt. " Hun'sville, May 13. Yesterday morn ing Sheriff Fulgham on. hearing of the lynching of the two women on the Kelley farm went out in search of the lynchers, lie at once onlercd an inquest. W. Y. Vaughn, justice of the peace, empannell-ed the following well known citizens us a jury of inquest: J. F. Smith, D.. IC. Wall, M. A. Taylor, W. L. Ililliard, T. J. Wall, CJ. A. Johnson and John Vaughn. After examining a large numlier of witnesses, white and colored, their verdict wa3 that the women came to their death by the hands of iinknowa parties. The bodies of the women were taken in charge by their friends and will be buried to-day. All kinds of wild rumors arc afloat concerning the feeling of the ncgroei, but without foundation, for they were as anx ions to punish the guilty parties as the whites, for the reason that nearly aa many negroes has been poisoned jj;from first to last as whites.
