- Will Hill was lynched for being accomplice to his brother, Alex Hill, in the murder of Mrs. Hubbard. He was shot to death near the Hubbard’s home early yesterday. Captured 10 miles from the scene in a house, dragged out from under the bed. Taken to Hubbard’s house for identification. Taken 200 yards from the house. Mrs. Hubbard was killed by Alex Hill. Rufus Hubbard wounded Alex Hill and identified Will Hill as the accomplice. He got the first shot at Will. Alex Hill killed Mrs. Hubbard and wounded Mr. Hubbard and their baby. He was still at large at the time. Will Hill was lynched on June 6. Mrs. Hubbard was killed on June 5. The county was still full of excitement and there will be no relaxation until Alex Hill is caught and lynched.
