- Will was captured by men at 2 am June 7. They went to the Hubbard’s for identification. The child was four weeks old when it lost its mother. He was carried to a grove near the Hubbard house. They put Hubbard in a reclining chair and taken with them to the execution scene. The posse fired a volley and Hill was riddled with bullets; his head being shot almost from his shoulders. Hubbard fainted from the excitement and physicians had to be summoned. Alex Hill confessed that they went to rob the house and murder her.
