Ten Are Indicted For Lynching of Negro CENTERVILLE, Ala., June 26,--- Special.--- The special term of the circuit of Bibb County called by Judge Miller for the purpose of investigating the lynching of Jim Craig, a negro, which lynching took place near Woodstock in this county on Wednesday of last week, adjourned Tuesday afternoon. The grand jury made a report showing that 10 white men had been indicted for participating in the lynching. Only five of these men are in jail and as some of the principal leaders who were indicted have not been arrested and in view of the fact that the term of court terminates as a matter of law on Saturday of this week the attorneys representing the defendants who are in jail and the circuit solicitor agreed for these cases to be passed for trial until the August term, Judge Miller, under the circumstance, so the jurors were discharged. There was one other indictment for murder and four indictments for the violations of the prohibition law, Sheriff Wood is leaving no stone unturned for the apprehension of the other parties charged with participating in the lynching.
