- According to The Crisis records 77 black people were lynched during the yet 1919. 1 was a black women, 11 were soldiers, 4 were white, and 3 were Mexicans, bringing the total to 84 people. Ranking of most lynchings: Georgia, Mississippi, Texas, Alabama, Louisiana. The number of individuals being burned increased from 2 to 14 between 1918 - 1919. June 18, Woodstock, Alabama, Jim McMillan, attempt to rape.
