- Transcript
- On the 23d inst., an Italian got into a fight with a buck-negro named Jordan, at Marion, Ala. -- Jordan was so thoroughly carved, that he died immediately. The Italian gave himself up to the authorities, remarking that he had killed many d--d niggers since he had been in this country. Jordan was a notoriously vicious negro, and the riddance of him is not deplored. Jordan's kicking the bucket, at the hands of a white man, was only a question of time.
