- On approximately October 02, 1900, Frank Floyd, was attempted to be lynched in Eclectic, Alabama by a crowd of white men after being accused of [a conspiracy to assault white women in the community]. He was arrested and taken to a jail in Montgomery, just barely arriving before the mob of men could reach him and his relative Jake Floyd. Prior to his arrest, Floyd married a woman named Rosie McField, June 15 in the year 1896. They went on to have at least two daughters, Rosie Floyd, and Carrie Bell Floyd. At the age of 28, he rented his own home in the Warehouse District of Wetumpka, Alabama. Frank worked as a bee tender and lived on his property with his wife, four daughters, and a son. Frank Floyd continued to live his life, where he would eventually die in Elmira, New York.
