- Grant Richardson, a 40-year-old black male, was brutally lynched in Bibb County, Alabama during the late evening hours of October 11, 1910 or the early morning hours of October 12, 1910, for the alleged crime of assaulting a white female. En route to jail, he was overtaken and captured by a mob of angry miners who tied him to a tree and riddled his body with bullets.
