- REPRIEVE GRANTED NEGRO SENTENCED TO DIE TODAY TUSCALOOSA, ALA., Dec. 21-- Frank Richardson, the negro condemned to hang tomorrow for the killing of Brown Morton, a member of the posse which was in pursuit of Richardson, who had just killed former Deputy Sheriff Tom Cooper, will not hang tomorrow because of the fact that Gov. O'Neal has granted a reprieve of sixty days. During that time the State Pardoning Board is expected to take up Richardson's case at the request of a number of Tuscaloosa's leading citizens. Owing to the peculiar condition of the killing of Tom Cooper, it is said the sentence may be changed.
