On July 18, 1903, Joseph Mosely, 53 was shot and killed in Woodstock by someone and then placed on the Great Southern Railroad Track on Saturday night. The train was supposed to leave the station at 11:00 pm, however it was a few minutes later. The coroner announced he was shot and died before he was hit by the train.
