An altercation occurred near the Depot, during the performance of the Circus, on last Friday, in which a negro man, from Hale County, was shot and seriously wounded by Mr. Sam McGee of this county. Mr. McGee is confined in Jail, awaiting a preliminary trial. We make no comments, as the reports about the affair are conflicting, and the case will soon undergo judicial investigation.
