Last Week's Lynching. The killing of Grant Richardson, was investigated by a coroners jury regularly empaneled by law and after viewing the body which had been shot rendered their verdict, that death was caused by shot gun wounds inflicted by unknown parties. The negro was accused of rape and it is thought that only a few participated in the killing, and Deputy Oakly investigated the case. Mr. Cal Riley, who had arrested the negro and was on his way to Centreville with him is not a deputy sheriff but the constable of that beat, when the men took the prisoner from him and shot him in the woods near by.
