ALABAMA MOB LYNCHES MAN Whites Take Negro Prisoner From Deputy Sheriff and Riddle Him. Montgomery, Ala., Oct. 13. Grant Richardson, colored, of Bibb county, was lynched near Centerville by a mob of white residents o.f the county. He was being brought to the Bibb county jail on a charge of attacking a white woman, when the deputy in charge was overpowered and the prisoners body riddled with bullets.
