CENTERVILLE EXPERIENCES ITS FIRST LYNCHD1Gz. Centreville; Oct 1 3.--Grant Richardson, a negro who lived near Braehead, was lynched last night by unknown persons while Deputy Sheriff Cam Riley was on his way to jai) with the prisoner. Riley was over-7,, powered and the negro shot to piece,. A white woman of the community charged the negro with an assault committed several months ago. This is the first lynching that hat occurred in Bibb county and the affair is deeply deplored by .the best citizenship of the county.
