Disguised men or Ku-Klux are said to be riding in different parts of Greene County nearly every night, frequently flogging negroes who have attended any political meetings and so offended the Democracy of Greene. Two colored men have lately been killed there by this organization--Gidford Coleman and Edmond Patton. The disappearance of the former was mentioned last week. His body has been found in a well. .S.B. Browne, candidate for the Legislature, has been threatened as their next victim. Hon. Charles Hays, member of Congress, and others, are also threatened. Suspicion is settling on certain parties and evidence accumulating, which will bring some of them to justice ere long.
