On the 26th ult., a negro man named Nelson Harris committed an outrage upon the person of a respectable widow lady living near Union, Ala. -- He was captured and placed in jail, from which he was taken by a body of men on the following night and hanged and his body thrown into a creek. During the reign of the Loyal League this negro is known to have said that if Southern women knew what was in store for them bolts of domestic would not be sufficient to dry the tears they'd shed.
