Parros, the murderer of Jordan Edwards, made an effort to escape from the Marion jail, on Friday night last, by rushing out of the room in which he was confined while the Jailor was engaged in locking the cages for the night. A desperate struggle ensued, which resulted in Parros breaking away from the clutches of the Jailor. The noise, however, had attracted the attention of the Jailor's family below, who hastily closed the door leading to the stairs, thus preventing his escape. After three repeated efforts to burst open the door, and seeing no other avenue for escape, the prisoner gave it up as a bad job, and returned up stairs to his old quarters. Since then he has been closely confined in an iron cage.
