"We learn from the Union Springs Herald that an altercation, which proved fatal to one of the parties, took place on the Bunkley plantation, near Fitzpatrick’s Station, last Monday. Frank Brown, an Ethiopian, who was as jealous as the immortal Moor, became suspicious of the relations, seemingly of a tender and improper nature, which existed between his wife and Harry Baldwin, a copper-colored Don Juan. And on vengeful thoughts intent, encountered the destroyer of his domestic peace, and, in the struggle which ensued, inflicted a mortal wound, with a pocket-knife, on the luckless Lothario, from which the latter died almost instantly. Another McFarland case for the courts."
