"Notice to Non-residents.THE STATE OF ALABAMA,
Greene County.PROBATE COURT, Special Term,
March 8th, 1877.F. P. Snedecor, Adm'r
of David B. Phillips.I n the matter of application to sell lands of said estate.THIS day came F. P. Snedecor, Adm'r of the estate of David B. Phillips, dec'd, and filed his petition in due form, praying for an order to sell an undivided half interest in certain lands below named, for the purpose of paying the debts of said estate, on the ground that the personal property is insufficient for that purpose, to-wit:Southwest quarter section 39, township 23, range 1 west; north half of east half of northwest quarter section 31, township 23, range 1 west, and 60 acres off the south end of the west half of southeast quarter of section 30, township 23, range 1 west, 269 acres in all.It is therefore ordered that the 2d Monday in April next, be appointed for the hearing of said Petition, and that notice thereof, as required by law, be given, by publication, for at least three consecutive weeks, in the ""Eutaw Whig and Observer,"" a weekly newspaper published in said county of Greene.And it also appearing from said Petition that the following heirs are non-residents of the State of Alabama, and reside in other States, viz: W. H. Phillips, Texas; John H. Phillips, Cornersville, Tenn.; Charles Phillips, William Phillips, and Robert Phillips, Troy, Tenn.; James Phillips, Tenn.; John Phillips, Tenn.; Frank Phillips, ——; Martha A. Hopper, wife of John H. Hopper, Lincoln county, Tenn.; Eliza Tate, wife of Robert Tate, both of whom are dead—leaving children, but whose names and ages are unknown,—It is therefore further ordered that the above named non-residents answer said petition before the 2d Monday in April next, and show cause why said land should not be sold for said debts, and that a copy of this order be published, without delay, for at least three consecutive weeks, in said ""Eutaw Whig and Observer,"" the weekly newspaper published in the county in which said application is made.7-3t T.
