"Quite an unfortunate affair occurred in this place on last Friday, in
which Wash Hudson, colored, was killed by Mr. Albert Williamson.
Mr. Williamson is a worthy young gentleman and a good citizen, and
was forced to take the negro’s life in self defense. No one deplores the sad act more than Mr. Williamson, but at the same time he knows and feels that he was justifiable. Three shots were fired apiece. The negro was shot twice in the stomach; Mr. Williamson was not hurt.—[Uniontown Press, 21st.]”
