By the CHAIRMAN :
Question. Where do you live ?
Answer. In Sumter County, about three miles from here, sir.
Question. How long have you lived in Sumter County ?
Answer. Ever since 1835, sir. It has been about thirty- six years, I reckon, sir, this
fall. I was raised here principally , sir ; I came here when I was about ten years old.
Question. On what place do you live now ?
Answer. I live on what we call now Robert Mason's place. It was the Maconico place when I moved to it, but she has married lately.
Question. Are you married ?
Answer. Yes, sir.
Question . Have a family, have you ?
Answer. Yes, sir."
