A report concerning the prospects for freed people in Ohio, commissioned by S. D. Cabaniss on behalf of the Samuel Townsend estate. It was submitted by Rev. W. D. Chadick, who traveled to Ohio with one of Townsend's sons, Wesley, to determine if it might be a suitable place to settle the Townsend heirs.
