SOUTHERN BANK OF ALABAMA, MOBILE, 12 April 1861
Dear Sir
Your favor of 10 inst has been handed me by Col. J. W. Echols, who has exchanged the $100.000 of annual interest bonds held by me, for the same amt in semi-annual interest bonds. He has also left with me, Fifty thousand dollars of bonds for sale for account of the State whenever it can be done at par; the proceeds to be passed to the credit of the State Treasurer.
I will take one of
