Dear Sir,
I have deter-mined to pardon [Francis J Cobra (Francis J Cobia), 1787-1860| Francis J Cobia]] who was convicted of [[Manslaughter|manslaughter]] at the last term of the [[Circuit Courts|Circuit Court]] of [[Henry County (Ala.)|County of Henry]]- His showing is a very strong one- I will opine my reasons for the pardon in the proper form when I get to Montgomery- You will please make out the proper order for the pardon and give it to Mr. Williams - I leave the day after tomorrow for [[Montgomery (Ala.)|Montegomery]]- My (?) is improving a letter- Tell Watkins he not foreword any more documents- I am glad to hear that you are up again.
