June 11^th^ 1860 This is to certify, that Randolph L. Gray health has been feeble for some months. That he has suffered from mental disease for at least years, [scribble] although since what improved, can’t remain so long. I am satisfied, that confinement [next?] aggravate + hence have little hope of a permanent cure so long as he remains in prison. I think him very fit subject for Executive Clemency.
